The purpose of the Connect mailing list is to allow members and leaders to send out announcements, encouragements and other items relevant to the Connect membership.  Please see below for instructions on how to sign up, use and leave the list.  Enjoy!

Joining the Connect mailing list

  • Send an email to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .  You can leave the subject and contents blank.
  • You will receive an email asking you to confirm that you do want to join (this prevents others joining you up without asking you!).  Follow the confirmation instructions in that email.
  • The list moderators will check that you are a Connect member and authorise your registration.
  • You will receive a welcome message and instructions on how to use the list.  Make a note of the password you receive.
  • Start reading and posting!  (See below)


Using the Connect mailing list

  • To post to the list, you have to be a member (see above for joining instructions).
  • Send your message to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
  • Your message will be approved by the moderators, based on the guidelines below.
  • Your message will go out to the list.


List guidelines:

  • Do use the list to send out anything which supports the Connect and Greyfriars vision and values.  This may include advertising a social event or a service opportunity, raising a topic for discussion, or encouraging people with a testimony or reflection on how God is at work.
  • Do think about sending messages which support one or more of the purposes of Worship, Outreach, Relationship, Discipleship or Service.
  • Do feel free to use the list, within reason, to advertise accommodation availability or requests, or other requests for help that are relevant to Connect members.
  • Don't use the list for topics that aren't specifically relevant to the Connect community.
  • Do follow usual etiquette guidelines, be polite etc!

Other information about the list

  • Previous messages can be viewed on the Connect List Archives.  You'll need your password to access these.
  • If you feel like it, you can change the way you receive messages from the list, by going to http://connectgreyfriars.org.uk/mailman/options/connect_connectgreyfriars.org.uk/[your email address].  This link is provided in the welcome message.  You'll need your password to make changes.
